Meet Amanda.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist with a passion for genuine connection. Beyond our marriages, our jobs, and our stresses, we are individuals with lived experiences that have shaped our identities. While much of our sessions are in the here and now, the goal of my therapeutic work is about moving into deeper levels of self-discovery and understanding. We cannot change, or grow, or heal if we are not truly conscious of the entirety of our selves. I am an interactive therapist who collaborates with clients  in offering direct feedback to help achieve your goals. My work goes far beyond “smile and nod” therapy.

While I have treated all populations across varied issues, my practice focus falls under the umbrella of the following: Life Transitions, Trauma and Grief, Reproductive Mental Health, Adoption Competent Therapy, and LGBTQIA inclusive treatment. I create a safe space to achieve well-being.

I graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Psychological Services. I returned to Northwestern and received my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Institute’s Bette D. Harris Family and Child Clinic. I am trained in individual, couples, and family therapy. I have received post-graduate training in Child Parent Psychotherapy, Perinatal Mood Disorders, Infertility Counseling, Maternal Mental Health, and Attachment and Trauma.
